I hadn't heard of this until today!

What are some of the benifits to online shopping? What are some of the drawbacks? How do you think this could change to consumer mentality towards purchasing?  How would an increase in online shopping affect our society?

  1. Well... personally... I dislike online shopping...
The benifits are of course crazy discounts and amazering cool things they may not have in stores...
But... the drawbacks (to me and my opinion) is the clothing thing- sometimes they dont fit the way you want(along with shoes)- as well things could get lost in the mail- and...
well thats all i can think of. :)

  2. The benefits are that you don't have to face all the people on Black Friday, and sometimes there are just better deals online. The downfall is that stores lose there customers, it is almost easier to go click on something you want to purchase then to have to go pick it up.
I think if online shopping increased there wouldn't be as many stores to go shop at. If there sales in the store lead to a downfall, then that would lead to the closing of many popular stores.

  3. The benefits are basically not having to go anywhere and deal with shopping frenzy. Not getting to see the product in person is the drawback and having to wait to use it until it is shipped to you. The more hassle free may increase chances of purchasing. I think an increase in online shopping would probably create less caotic shopping experiences in stores.

  4. The benfits of this is you are able to avoid the madhouse that happends in the stores when it comes to black friday. Also you are sure that you will get what you want when you go online. And some of the drawbacks are what you purchase online will take sometime to get to you unlike if you were to buy it in the store and already have it in your hands. And im not really sure how it would change the consumer mentality. If online shopping became such a big thing then that would ovisiouly lead to some laziness and cause business's to lose service.

  5. Some benefits to online shopping is you can pick whatever you like at any online store and you never have to leave your house to get it. Some drawbacks to this is card theft from non-secure sights that people can ahck your information from. If online shopping increased, the people in America would just become even lazier than they already are and it would take away from alot of stores business.

  6. You do not have to leave the house. You do not get to actually see the item and look at it before you buy it. I would make shoppers lazier and more things woule be returned because they found ou t that they do not like the item. It could change our society by making it easier to get the things we want

  7. Online shopping is very convent and most of time very reliable. Downsides would be having to wait for your product to be delivered and possible damages during delivery. An increase in online shopping would certainly weaken small-name stores that rely on "walk-in" customers.

  8. the benefits is that not having to leave your home and you dont have to pick it up or nothing. it comes to you! the drawbacks would have to be when you guy it and it comes and its not really what you thought it would be, and sometimes the long waits. it could change them by making them lazy. why drive and shop when you can shop from your bed. it would impact by alot of stores closing down becuz alot of stores dont always have online store or they sometimes be wack and nobody buys from it.

  9. I have not tried online shopping. But I think online shopping can be really good. You have the chance to do some research before buying, and that way you can get the best deal. You don't have to drive around from place to place and that will save time.

  10. Some benifits of online shopping would be that you can shop at all your favorite places in one sitting, and you don't have to worry about driving from place to place or crowds of people. Drawbacks would be that you can't actually see what your buying, it may not be the right size etc... I think most people will purchase anyways. If it's not right you can always send it back. I think if everybody started shopping on-line, alot of businesses would loose service, or maybe it would just make things a little less crazy.

  11. The benifit is that you do not have to actually go to the store, and you can avoid the big crowds and lines. The drawbacks would be you don't actually get to see or hold the product or try it on if needed. I think it would just make us lazier and make us start doing everything from our computers. I think if everyone started doing it then it would really hurt the smaller local stores.

  14. I really don't online shop. Some of the benefits of online shopping are you don't have to wait in line or put up with other people in the store. Some of the drawbacks are having your product getting lost in the mail or they send you the wrong item then you have to wait even longer to get it.

  15. I have never really shopped online. Benefits i guess whould be that you do not have to leave your home to shop. You can buy anything from any store you would like. Drawbacks would be that using a credit card online can always be a little iffy. You could get sent the wrong item as well. If everyone shopped online there would be no reason to have stores. Also, people may become more and more lazy.
