  1. The advances seem neat. Others may enjoy the things they add, but I don't really pay enough attention to sports in general to enjoy the tech.

  2. Don't really watch sports all that much, so I didn't even see any of those. Some very interesting tech used. My favorite tech used was the animations, its amazing to see how much computer animation has evolved over the years, its almost getting to the point where you can't tell fake from real anymore.

  3. Of course I watched the Super Bowl yesterday. It's practically sacriligious to not watch the Super Bowl if you're from Texas. I wasn't really paying attention, though. So the only technology I really actually noticed was that awesome big screen in the middle of the field in the air. The Super Bowl ads I liked the most were the Glee one, the Doritos pug one, the VW Darth Vader one, and the Snickers Lumberjack one.
I think that all the technological advancements in the Super Bowl are awesome. I really liked the way you could rate the commercials from your iPod. My favorite technology aspect is definitely that huge TV in the middle of the field. I love the commercials and, therefore, have always told my parents that I don't want to go to a Super Bowl game because you can't see the commercials there. But with that huge TV, you can! That's stinkin awesome!

  4. I did not watch the Super Bowl. I think that tells enough for the other questions. As for the advances, I don't really care one way or another.

  5. honestly, the only reason I know who played and who won is because everyone is talking about it, watching sports to me is like sitting in a cage watching OTHER people have fun.

On the Tech, gooood stuff, it is amazing how far these things have come in just the last three years and I'm sure they enhanced the experience for everyone.

  6. I only watched the end of the Super Bowl to see who won. I don't care for football that much but the little bit I did watch was in HD. Every pass, tackle and interception was that much better in HD. My favorite ad was the Volkswagen one with the little kid starting the car. All the advances they had for the Super Bowl were amazing. My favorite technology related aspect of the Super Bowl was the $40 million, 72 feet tall and 160 feet long, 600-ton video board with 25,000 square feet of displays, world's largest high-definition video screen that's in the Cowboys' staduim because I wished I had that for myself.

  7. I watched the super bowl! It was awesome, the game has changed from over the years as you can tell with the mega screen that was above the field. That has made watching the game at the stadium seem as if you were sitting at home watching it. There were a lot of ads that I liked. A couple of my favorites were the Volkswagen one and the kid dressed up like Darth Vader. A lot of the bud light ones were good as well as the snickers logger guys.
The new advances make the game better for the fans I think, but really doesn't have much affect on the players when they are playing besides the headsets that the quarterbacks, and middle linebackers use to communicate with the coaches. The whole two weeks the players are making commercials for the fans. Each team had to make sort videos because they needed them if they won. Not only is there technology in the stadium for the fans at the game but there are other advances that make the experience for the fan at home to be better. For example my favorite is the miked up player. So we can hear what they say throughout the game. There were quite a few players that were miked up last night. Its always interesting to listen to what they say on the field.

  9. Yes I did watch the Super Bowl last night. I did notice some of the technology they used. I noticed that the jumbo-trons have increased in size and they now make them in high definition. I don't think as many people would watch the Super Bowl if it wasn't for all of the funny ads. My favorite one was for teleflora.com when the guy didn't know what to tell his girlfriend for valentines day and Faith Hill told him to write from his heart and his message was, "Dear Kim, your rack is unreal."
I think these advances are great for professional sports and other events that take place in certain arenas and stadiums. I do enjoy these advances because it makes you want to know what they are going to come up with in the next few years. My favorite aspect is the huge tv's in the middle of the field. This is my favorite because this is pretty much the biggest tv ever.

  10. This year i didn't really get the chance to watch much of the super bowl, but i did notice that there was some added technology. One example was the black eyed peas during their preformance. They had extreme outfits on and their dancers were also wearing suits made of lights. The suits would flash and change color making it a really cool show.
Some people only watch the super bowl for the commericials. I think that by having these it brings a different feeling to watching the game. The super bowl itself probably gets the most views just because of some of the commericals. It makes the Super Bowl a different event than just another football game.
I think they picked the perfect stadium to welcome us to the world of advanced technology. The cowboys' new stadium features a 600 ton video board mounted in the ceiling. Also fans are able to easily use their debit and credit cards at the concession stands. The stadium also offers free wi-fi for all fans to use while in attendance at the game.
I didn't really have a favorite new technology aspect to this game.

  11. Yes of course I watched the Super Bowl. How ever I did not really notice all the advancements. Over the last few years the technology behind everything has become so good and sufficient that I think few people really realize the changes unless they are obvious.
My favorite Super Bowl commercial would definitely be the Doritos commercial when he puts Doritos on everything to fix whatever is broken.
My favorite advancement would have to be the giant TV. 72x160...that's ridiculous. I need to see that.

  13. Watching the Superbowl this year was not an option for this Packer fan (Green Bay all the way baby!). There was mention of technology in the entire pregame and gametime so I'm not sure I could have missed how advanced the Superbowl has gotten. The giant screen in the middle of the field was pretty difficult to not notice as well.

My FAVORITE ad was the one for Bridgestone. I thought it was awesome that the beaver had the guys back!

As for the advances I thought that they do add to the experience. It's pretty impressive how far we've come in the last few years. However, if they can manage to hang a tv screen in the middle of the stadium, why then can't they figure out how to avoid the issues of broadcasting? It happens each and every year! They lost sound and picture for a good two hours before the game and finally(!) managed to get everything working again just in time to start the Superbowl. Figure it out people!!!

  14. Yes I did watch the super bowl. I did notice there was a lot of technology. The BIG televisions they used above the field and outside of the field. They have the technology to do all of the instant replays; and the technology to keep very accurate stats.
I noticed the end of the game celebrations have gotten more and more advanced. Also, the half-time shows get more and more high tech!
I thought quite a few of the commercials were funny. I think the darth vader one was the best though!
I think they add to the experiance. I have never been to an NFL game but I'm sure the people sitting away from the field need the tvs in order to see the game. I think the apps for iPads are a very good idea. The people that haven't been to Texas can find their way around and the people that have been there before may be able to find a less busy route to take. I also think that being able to use ATM cards at the concessions is a must. It probably saved many peple time (from trying to find and ATM and standing in line at the ATM). The GPS devices are a good idea for the trophy; but I don't know if I agree with them being on the people. I also think desigining the stadium the option of being able to cover it was a good plan.
My favorite aspect of technology is probably the instant replays with all of the different angles. Sometimes when they are showing the live play they don't get the right angle and I like being able to see it again from other angles and close up if the call was close.

  15. Yes. I watched while doing homework so I did not notice all the technology or pay attention to the commercials, although it's almost a given that a lot would be used. My favorite from the list was the doritos commercial with the pug. Thas improved and become more advanced is how it has changed over the years to give us the ultimate experience. We now have high definition tv's which sometimes can make it seem as if we are at the game.

I think these advances are benefical for the entertainment of people and for businesses. I think they are good to make the experience even better. My favorite is the super bowl android app, where it includes a 3-D map of North Texas with locations that would be helpful if you were attending the game. Unfamiliar places are hard to navigate sometimes, so I feel this would help. Also for the advertising companies I like that app where people can watch and vote or judge the commercials. The feedback would be helpful for the advertising companies.

  16. of course i watched the super bowl i love football. I didn't really notice any of the new added technology that was used. It is crazy thought how every year the game and everything seem to get and look better and better every year with new technology. The ads during the commercials are one of the best things about the super bowl, there a lot of good ones again this year, i liked the Doritos one and the Volkswagen one. i think that my favorite technology at the super is probably the huge mega screen that they have so they can make the experience at the game better for the fans.

  17. I noticed the large screens immediately. They are definitely nice for those who don't have the good seats. I haven't really been paying attention to the advances over the years, but being able to watch the Super Bowl in HD is pretty nice.

    Commercials (Ads):
The Super Bowl definitely wouldn't be the same without ads. These things bring in tons of money which ultimately give us a better viewing experience.

Some of the ones that I liked were the Doritos one where everything the guy puts Doritos on comes back to life, the VW commercial with the kid dressed up as Vader, and the House commercial that imitated the infamous 'Mean Joe Green' Coca Cola commercial.

Also, I thought it was pretty funny when Christina Aguilera botched the National Anthem.

  18. Yes I did see some technologies that made the super bowl more interesting. First off the cameras that are on a zip line about a couple of feet above the player’s heads. And that yellow robot I guess

The only thing that I really see a change in is the commericals.

Without the ads there would still be a super bowl but I would enjoy the super bowl less if there weren’t any cool ads. It’s a big part of the game.

My favorite ad. I would have to say the bud light one where they redo the kitchen.

  19. I didn't watch the Super Bowl yesterday. I think the coolest technology would have been the giant 72' x 160' video board.

  20. Yes I watched the Super Bowl yesterday. Packers kicked the Steelers! WHOO :) Ok anyways. The one thing I noticed about the new technology for the Super Bowl was the giant screen hanging from the center of the stadium, which was also my favorite. The things they done with the technology for the Super Bowl is amazing. The giant screen, thousands of other tvs placed through out the staduim, the app, the amped wireless service. It's awesome.

The ads are my favorite part about the Super Bowl. My favorite had to of been either the best buy or one of the doritos.

  21. Yes i watched the Superbowl yesterday and my PACKERS WOOONNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! But anyway i noticed a lot of new technology added this year. One example was the black eyed peas during their preformance. Their outfits were glowing and etc i thought that was pretty smoove. Some people only watch the super bowl for the excitements of the commericials showing. I think that by having these it brings a different comfort zone when it comes to watching super bowl. This addition makes the super bowl a different event than just another football game. They picked the best way to do the super bowl at the new Dallas Stadium. I really dont have a favorite i liked it all, comedy.

  22. I didn't really watch the game, I was working so I only caught bits and pieces. I did see the black eyed peas perform and I thought that their outfits really showed the advances. The high tech board would have been cool to see. I think they add to the experience because it allows the fans to see up close and really get into the game. My favorite is the screen because I like watching the replays. The Volkswagen commercial was my favorite because I thought it was cute!

  23. I did, of course, watch the Super Bowl. GO PACKERS!! With that said, the commercials were pretty good this year. I enjoyed the Doritos and the Pepsi Max commercials the best. But, I did like the VW commercial as well! The beetle was pretty cute. We did not used to have the challenge ability. Now, with the technology available the refs can look in slow motion and determine whether a call was correct or not! Such as when the Packers challenged the incomplete pass call which was determined to be correct.

I think that too much money was spent. That money could have went to a much better cause. BUT, I will admit that I am grateful for the high definition that is given to me by the advancements made by the Cowboys. I enjoyed very much watching the Steelers get beat by the Packers and loved that I was able to see it all with such clarity!

  24. I was working when we had super bowl. Umm yes and no, I got to see pictures of it. The huge TV, 100 terabytes to run the place. Most of them were my favorite ads, especially the pug and the Doritos guy. Any advance in technology is good. I wonder what football will be like in the future will we just watch it with goggles and am a part of the action or not…I think the ads are my favorite part of super bowl, they are always entertaining.
