Apps Apps Apps

It seems that applications are becoming a part of every thing in society.  We've all heard the phrase "There's an app for that" and it is becoming more and more true with every passing day.  Last night was the Oscars, read the following article about "aps" at the Oscars. Which of the apps would you be most likely to use? Also, do you have any applications installed on your phone, computer, etc. that you use regularly? Finally, state one app you would like to see created and explain briefly how it would potentially work.

  1. I don't really use apps.
I guess a music creating app would be cool. You would choose the range, pitch, and type of notes you want and it would produce something like a 10 second clip using your suggestions.

  2. I don't think I would use any of those apps, I am not that into the Oscars that I would spend my time on them. I have facebook, itunes, pandora, and games installed on my phone, computer, and ipod; I use them almost everyday. I would like to see an app created that has different malls and the clothing all up, then the user could put different outfits together before shopping. I think that would be handy because you could go in knowing what you are looking for.

  3. If I was to make apps, one I would make perhaps would be an app that is itself an encyclopedia OF apps. I would basically have in dept information on all the different apps for say device.

  4. I would use alot of the apps. Games, navigation, and what have you.

I do not have any apps on my phone, but I am switching to at&t in a month and I will be getting a phone able to have apps.

If I could create an app it would have to be a information app, like txtin 242242, but its a app on ur phone, and it will answer all questions.

  5. I have a lot of apps on my phone I like them and many of them are fun and make it easier to do things. I do not think that I would use any of the apps for the Oscars though because I do not watch them and do not really care about them. I am not really sure what app I would create since there is already an app for just about anything that a person can think of.

  6. I barely own a cell phone, so apps are something I don't really use. I Can't really think about any apps that i would like to see created, I've seen what is available on a friends Iphone, and any I would potentially use were already created.

  7. If I were to get one of these apps i would get Awards Hero: Oscars Edition, because i would have the chance at $10,000.
I use several apps constantly on my phone including facebook, Weather Channel, Droid Light, and Bubble Buster for those boring days.
I'm not really sure what app id like to create..there are so many apps out there already

  8. i think i would probably use the oscar backstage pass. I'm not really into the oscars but it might be fun to make perdictions about who will win or what they will wear. I don't really use applications for my phone or ipod. Maybe if i had an iphone or ipod touch i would consider them just because they look fun and have so many to choose from. I don't really have an app i would like to create , due to the fact that all the ones i thought of have been made already. The possibilities are endless when it comes to technology.

  9. If I got to choose an app from the Oscars I would probably choose the backstage pass because of the extra stuff I would be able to see, including idfferent camera angles and more than what is seen on the tv. I also think most apps are just a waste of money. (Maybe this is because I don't have an iphone or ipad.)

I do not have any apps on my phone. I do use a few apps on my computer though. They are convienient, but it really doesn't take that long to type in an address.
I don't know what type of app I would like to be made. Maybe one for easier research- like a search engine, but more user friendly, and not such an information overlaod.

  10. I think I would use the "Awards Hero, Oscar Edition". I would use this for the oscars because you have a chance to win $10,000, and that would be sweet. On my phone I regularly use my weather channel app. I use this so I know what to wear when I have to walk over to the school from the dorms. I can not think of any app that is not already created.

  11. I hardly ever use apps. I don't have any on my phone or anything so I'm not sure what these are but I probably would use the Oscar backstage app. so that I could follow people backstage see what its like. It would be interesting to see what everyone is like when they are backstage. I don't have any apps. that I know of I probably have some on my ipod, but I never use them. I cant think of any thing that I would like to see I don't ever use them.

  14. Out of the apps listed, I would most likely use the "Oscar Backstage Pass" app. I think it'd be nice to choose the view you watch the oscars in. I have a lot of applications on my ipod. Ones that I regularly use would be facebook, tap tap revenge, the weather channel, and google maps. I don't know what app I would want created. I'm content with all the ones I have right now.

  15. The only app that I would possibly use is the 'Awards Hero: Oscars Edition' app because of the $10,000 prize. I never watch these kinds of shows so I don't have any of the apps. The apps that I use most are Facebook, Weather, Mail, iFitness, and Skype. An app I would like to see created would be one for calling in sick. It would make your voice sound raspy so that you sound sick. GENIUS!

  16. I do not own an iPad or iPhone, so I probably wouldn't use any of those apps. My phone isn't any form of fancy smartphone, so I really don't use apps in general. I can't think of any app that hasn't already been done either. You can say "there's an app for that" to literally almost anything.

  17. I wouldnt use any of these apps but I have a lot of apps on my Iphone. I would say i use Pandor, music app, the most out of all of them. I would like to see a app made that would make people better at decision makeing by putting in all the hard situations we've been in into this app and it would tell our personality and give would only tell us to make good decisions it would be like a perfect friend.

  18. I wouldn't use any of the oscar apps. I'm not really a "stargazer", so all those apps don't apply to me. I didn't even watch the Oscars.

I've got plenty of apps on my phone and I had alot on my ipod (before it crapped out), but I never really used many of them. The most app used on my phone would probably be my facebook app and that's for like 2 maybe 3 minutes at tops if even that much.

Since I don't use very many apps, I don't really have any ideas for creating them. I found a book once and Barns and Noble to teach you how to make android apps. But if I ever did come up with an idea for an app, someone else probably already came up with it, if not twenty other people. There's so many out there for some many different things and so many of the same thing, it's hard to create a new app.

  19. Well, this is my opinion. We use "apps" every day. not just iphone or android apps either. Computers have applications, so do jobs, as well as anything else you can put your mind to. Apps have been around for a long time. This newest generation of popular apps takes simplicity and complexity at the same time. We throw our apps onto our smartphones to work around the internet. What I see is a world without the basic internet and filled with individual apps. Goodbye freedom, welcome New business and marketing hypes. People are just getting lazier, and thats that.

  20. To be perfectly honest, I would not have used any of those apps. I don't like to pay for things that are that pointless and none of them cried out to me that I wanted to use them.
I used to have a weather app that I would use in order to check the weather every day but during an update it got deleted and I just haven't reinstalled it. I did enjoy it very much because it was customized to my area and I was able to do as much as a 10 day forecast.
As far as what I would create as an app, I'm sure there is one out there. I would make a calorie counter. It would have a huge database of different foods and their calorie content. You would be able to pick your foods you ingested for a total at the end of the day and you could customize to your own personal body type so that it could also compute how much you should have burned in order to lose or maintain, whichever your goal is.

  21. The trivia “jepordy” questions. My games are the only thing I have that is installed on my phone. An app that would tell you when your computer is slow and it would tell you what is bogging it down such as IE temporary files.

  22. I have some apps such as facebook and twitter. But i wouldnt make an app because knowing technology we probably already have it on adroid, or we soon have it because we are america. But idont use too much of the apps unless i have too.

  23. I would most definitely use the Oscar Backstage Pass app. The only app that I have on my iPod that I use regularly is an IMDB app which is linked directly to the website and let's me find out little things about whatever movie I happen to be watching without making me go get my computer. If I could make my own app, it would be one that could give you the perfect song to listen to, based on your most played song and what you have on your device, that would match your mood perfectly. After a couple questions to determine your mood of course.
