Just a little friendly reminder about switching our clocks and how dependent we are on our cell phones. What are some of the consequences of a glitch like this? Do you have a clock in your room or a back up alarm of any kind?

I think in this day and age almost everyone uses their phone as an alarm, i know i do and my alarm clock sits as a display, and my phone wakes me up. This could cause any number of problems, not being able to be on time for any number of things.
ReplyDeleteI dont have an alarm clock or back up clock. I use my cell phone for everything because I like waking up to my favorite songs, rather than an annoying beep. Think about it, if you wake up to a really loud, annoying beeping noise, your going to be mad when you wake up and possibly risk ruining your entire day. Now on the other hand, if you wake up to one of your favorite songs, your going to be happier when you wake up and that could potentially cause you to have a better day all together. I dont know about for everyone, but it tends to usually work for me.
ReplyDeleteThis problem could cause thousands of people to be late for school or work and could lead to mass chaos if there were important events going on. I have my alarm clock and my cell phone alarm set to make sure that I am up and ready for the day.
ReplyDeleteI do have a clock in my room and I use the alarm. The only time I ever use my phone alarm is when the power is out. I think this glitch could cause many problems because there are many people that just use there phones as alarms,if they needed to be somethwere on the day of the change, the glitch could mess that up.
ReplyDeleteA glitch like this is a very big deal because it can make so many people late to work, and just late to everything. Yes I have a real alarm clock in my room but I never use it I just use my cell phone.
ReplyDeleteI don't use my phone to wake me up in the morning i have am alarm clock by my bed so i use that. There are many possible consequences like be late for meetings, school, work, and any other important stuff that you have to make sure that you are there on time.
ReplyDeleteIf the existance of the cellular devices came to an abrupt holt. Me Colton Gatherum the first would be very confused and lose track of time quickly. I would orobably learn how to read the sun in the sky and tell time that way. I heard that there was alot of indian reservations near by, there's an idea!
ReplyDeleteI and my fiance use our phones to wake us up, but I also use my alarm clock as a back up. I really don't see all three devices not waking me up unless both phones die and the power goes out. But as for others this glitch could highly affect their lives, they could be late for court or an important business meeting. And it could even cost some their jobs. I do think that today's society relies too much on cellphones and other hand-held devices.
ReplyDeleteThe consequences are simple, A PANIC WILL HAPPEN! It's madness everytime a new phone or simple device comes out that can do one more thing than the last series did. When 1 thing goes wrong with a piece of technology people get angry, and not just emotionally but they seem to let it out on facebook and twitter! Surprisingly in the old days before iphones were created people had old school alarm clocks and believe it or not they actually worked. I set 2 alarms at night. I set my cell phone alarm and alarm clock and if that doesn't work I keep a spare roster in the closet! Totally kidding. The point is though, everyone is so obsessed with technology and when one thing goes wrong like an alarm not switching the public tends to go nuts and get angry. I think an alarm not working is the least of the world's problems.
ReplyDeletei was a ninja turtle for halloween
ReplyDeleteI think its a big deal, it just shows how dependent we really are on technology. I only use my cell phone alarm. I used to have a real alarm clock but I stopped using a few years ago when I found my cell phone was actually more reliable. The plug in alarm clock could be reset if there was a power outage, and sometimes just wouldn't go off. This glitch can make you late for alot of important meetings etc... But sometimes it could work in your favor. Say it glitches and gets you up an hour ealier than your supposed to.
ReplyDeletewell i use my phone for an alarm clock because my alarm clock that i have i have it set but it never go off idk why.but my cell phone wake me up some time but if im really tried i wake up and truned it off so it kinda helps a alot well my phone helps
ReplyDeleteHey did you all know Colton was a Ninja Turtle for halloween?
ReplyDeleteI have a clock in my room thats on the TV box. I use my cell phone, however, because it has an alarm and is right next to my bed. I suppose this could be a bad thing if something goes wrong with the time, but then the clock that is in my room for some reason just got all screwed up so no matter what there are problems that can happen with anytype of clock you use.
ReplyDeleteI do not use an alarm clock. My boyfriend wakes up at 6 am everymorning and so i have just gotten use to his schedule. But when I need an alarm clock I use my cell phn. This glitch ciould cause problems in the future.
ReplyDeletei use my clock and it pisses me off when i forget to change it.i use my phone now tho.
